What’s the purpose?

Promotional videos are excellent sales tools designed to communicate your company or brand to your customers. Promotional videos are ideal for getting more information across to your customers. They need to be precise and inspiring resulting in your potential customer responding to your call to action.

Is there an ideal length?

A good length for a promotional video would be around 4-5 minutes; this gives sufficient time to deliver the information necessary whilst still maintaining your audiences attention.

What style should the video be?

Promotional videos can vary in terms of the style; whether incorporating graphics, animation or live action we understand how to keep your customers engaged.

The tone of a promotional video is very important, outbound sales videos need to be different to internal ones, which tend to be purely informational videos. Being careful not to bombard the audience and by including extra elements which stimulate the viewer such as animation and graphics, can assist in delivering an ideal promotional video.

Utilising a presenter can sometimes be a great way to engage directly with your audience. Similarly getting your staff involved can have the added benefit of your audience being able to see the people they could potentially be dealing with, this goes for the MD too!

Incommunities Group chief executive recently used a promo video we produced during a presentation she was giving over in the States. The 4-minute video incorporated a 2d animated logo as well as an animated map graphic complete with sound effects! There was also several talking heads. The video delivered so much more than would have been possible for one person to get across within a short presentation.
