Charity Videos

What’s the purpose?

Leave your audience feeling like they can make a difference. We start by identifying what the purpose of your video is…fundraising, engage with the audience on an emotional level, or is it just a general awareness video that will suit your needs?

Tone is extremely important

Delivering information in the appropriate tone is vital. We will accomplish what we have set out to achieve by developing a strong idea that delivers a concise message that hits the mark. By having a clear message and stripping back all the ‘extras’ allowing the message to come across you are allowing your audience to engage on an emotional level and not distracting them with stuff!!

Have a clear call to action

Being able to get a particular message across in a way that isn’t patronising but is engaging can be a challenge. In essence we are taking the viewer on a journey, the time in which you do that can vary significantly, as long as we keep the idea simple and it delivers the key messages then any charitable organisation can make use of video. The most important element of a charity videos is that is has a clear call to action.

What’s the process?

Your video may be a one off or part of a campaign. For your organisation to have a successful campaign you need to have identified your brief, this includes being clear about the purpose. In the pre production stage we will work with you to discover how your audience will respond to the video. What is the best way to get your message across? Having a story to tell is the starting point…the vehicle in which that story is told can vary massively.

Let your audience in…

Testimonials are a great way to get to know the people who your organisation is reaching. The testimonial can make up as much or as little of the video as is needed. Using a reconstruction element can help deliver the story and could potentially be more engaging for your viewer.  Your organisation will have a multitude of stories to tell, how they are told is where come in!

What’s next?

Once you have a video that does everything you require to the next thing is to get it out to your audience, using across multiple platforms will assist you in reaching your audience.

  • martinhouselogo_1line“As a hospice, we have to be incredibly sensitive to the needs and wishes of our families and it was important to us that we worked with a company who understood our work and the reasons behind the project. Twenty Twenty filmed with minimum disruption to the families staying with us and were particularly sensitive to those who did not wish to be filmed. They were understanding when multiple edits were required and their interpretation of the project brief showed a real enthusiasm for our work and vision. We now have two successful short films to help promote children’s hospice care and look forward to working with the team again in the future."
